Ravensburger 500 Piece Puzzles

500 pieces is the size people underrate. It is a weekend rather than a fortnight, it fits on a card table, and because Ravensburger cut it at the same quality as their 1000 piece range you are not trading craftsmanship for convenience. The pieces are physically larger, which matters more than most buyers expect.

This is the size we recommend in three situations. First, if you are coming back to puzzling after a long gap and want to finish something rather than abandon it. Second, if you are buying for someone with less table space, or less patience for a project that occupies the dining room for two weeks. Third, if eyesight or dexterity is a factor, where a larger piece in a 500 count is far kinder than a 1000 without feeling like a children's puzzle.

Ravensburger's Softclick fit does the same job here as it does at 1000 pieces: a placed piece stays placed, and a false join does not fool you into an hour of wrong work.

Want something bigger? Behind it a loose bunch of forget-me-nots and small white flowers falls out of focus into soft green. The striped fur and the knit of the blanket give you plenty to sort by, and the pale blurred background is the part that will take patience.

500 pieces

Finished size 49 x 36 cm

Brand: Ravensburger

Suitable for adults

SKU: RB01904-6

Cut with Ravensburger's Softclick technology, so every piece seats with a click and the finished puzzle lifts as one. A jeweller's shop has been taken over by its cats: one tries on a crown on top of a dressmaker's dummy, another cracks the safe, and a grey tabby sits at the counter under a sign for Catier, elegance for your claw. There are strings of pearls across the chequered floor, mice in the display domes, a dress stitched with Diamonds Are Furever, and a black and white cat asleep on a cushion through all of it. The more you look, the more jokes you find.

500 pieces

Finished size 49 x 36 cm

Brand: Ravensburger

Suitable for adults

SKU: RB01451-5

Cut with Ravensburger's Softclick technology, so every piece seats with a click and the finished puzzle lifts as one.
