She builds it in layers from acrylics, inks, fine art pens and aroma, and says she rarely begins with a plan. Gustav Klimt and Picasso are in there if you look, most obviously in \u003cem\u003e3 Wise Women\u003c\/em\u003e. What comes out is colour, texture and mark making rather than a scene you can name.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThat makes it a different kind of build.\u003c\/strong\u003e A landscape gives you a horizon and a sky to sort by. An abstract gives you colour and edge and nothing else, so it is slower, harder and a good deal more absorbing.
