Clementoni - Flowers in Paris 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

A Paris corner in the rain with a florist on one side, a patisserie on the other and the Eiffel Tower down the street. Painted by David Maclean, and the wet pavement is doing half the work.

What you are looking at

A cobbled street corner under a pink and gold evening sky. On the left, a shop with a red and white striped awning and a lit window, cafe tables and chairs out on the pavement, and banks of white and pink flowers in buckets and boxes around them. Above it, a cream Haussmann building with wrought iron balconies, ivy, and three French tricolores hanging out over the street.

On the right, a florist under a deep red awning with FLEURISTE lettered across it, its window glowing gold and more flowers stacked outside. Black iron street lamps lit down both sides. Between them, walking away from you down the middle of the street, a woman in a yellow coat under a purple umbrella with a large shaggy dog beside her. At the end of the street the Eiffel Tower stands against the sunset. The cobbles are wet and hold the reflection of every lamp, awning and window.

What it is like to build

Start with the two awnings. The red and white stripe on the left and the solid deep red on the right are the strongest, hardest-edged colour in the picture, and they fix both sides.

Then the tower and the lit windows, which are the only other unmistakable elements. The flowers are the long middle: hundreds of small white, pink and yellow blooms at the same scale on both sides, and the way in is to work outward from the container each bank sits in rather than inward from the mass. The cobbles are the hard region, and the trick there is the reflections: sort by which colour is smeared into the piece, warm red near the florist, gold near the lamps, and cool violet down the centre of the street.

Why Clementoni

Italian, High Quality Collection, made in Italy. This is a licensed David Maclean image, and his work depends on many small light sources against a dusk ground, which is a demanding print: if the highlights blow out or the shadows block up, the reflections stop being sortable.

A little context

Paris at dusk is one of the two or three most illustrated subjects in the category, so there is a great deal of it and most of it is the same three landmarks shot the same way. The versions worth owning are the ones where the city is a street somebody lives on rather than a monument. Derived from multiple public data sources across retail, search and community platforms, refreshed 31 August 2026.
