Cobble Hill - Christmas Kittens 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

What you are looking at

What it is like to build

Fur is the difficulty, not the tree. Six of the eight kittens are some version of tabby or ginger, and at piece scale a tabby's flank is a field of brown and cream stripes with no orientation. The way through is to build faces first. Every kitten has high-contrast eyes, a pink nose and whiskers, and those pieces are unmistakable. Get eight faces down and the bodies attach to something.

Then take the hard geometry. The rocking chair and the brick fireplace are the only straight lines in the picture and they carve the right-hand third into manageable blocks. The tree is genuinely easy, because every piece has a light or a bauble or a gold strand on it.
