Cobble Hill - Trading Post 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

What you are looking at

A weatherboard store with a blue tin roof and a deep verandah, TRADING POST lettered above it and every inch of the front wall covered in old enamel advertising signs. Crows on the ridge and a weathervane on the gable.

Parked across the front, a duck-egg blue pickup with whitewall tyres, a wooden-sided tray, and a tooled leather saddle with a red blanket propped in the back. A golden retriever puppy sits in the tray beside it. On the grass: two more golden retrievers lying together on the left, a chocolate labrador standing on the right, a second chocolate lab puppy in the middle, and chickens scratching everywhere. What it is like to build

Build the truck first. It is a large mass of a colour that appears nowhere else in the picture, with hard panel lines and chrome, and it sits dead centre.

Then the signage. The wall of enamel signs is the best region in the puzzle: dozens of small rectangles, each a different colour with legible lettering, so those pieces are individually placeable. Then the dogs, then the roof, which is a strong blue horizontal. The grass is the only hard field, a wide band of mid-green with wildflowers scattered through it, and it goes in last, sorted by how much flower a piece carries.
