A British seaside afternoon that has been comprehensively invaded by elephants, and in the sea there are orcas wearing tartan and playing the bagpipes. If that sentence appeals, this is the best thing in the shop. If it does not, buy something else.
A coast road with a beach below it and green hills above. Elephants everywhere: one squeezing between two beach huts, several on the hillside in embroidered blankets, one with a punk mohican of feathers, one apparently sneezing. Killer whales in the water in tartan sashes, one playing bagpipes. A pod of seagulls in the foreground with speech bubbles reading MINE! MINE! MINE! Lions lounging on a rocky outcrop. Bears on a park bench. Badgers driving a vintage green sports car along the road. A lighthouse, a cricket match, bunting, a Union flag, a set of traffic lights, a red and white deckchair, and the Red Arrows going over trailing red, white and blue smoke.
Speech bubbles are scattered right through it in broad regional dialect, and a badger holds a sign reading NOTHING TO SEE HERE OFFICER.
Drawn in loose ink and watercolour, which changes the method. The outlines are hand drawn and broken rather than solid, and the fills are washy, so you cannot rely on hard edges the way you can with a cartoon. What you can rely on is that every creature is a different species and a different colour.
Split the picture into three bands first. Blue-green sea at the bottom, sand and road through the middle, green hill at the top. That is a clean three-way sort. Then work animal by animal. The grey elephants are the hardest group, because there are a lot of them and they are all the same grey, so use their blankets and decorations, which are all different, to tell one from another.
British since 1919, printed in the UK and Europe on 100% recycled board. On watercolour art the print is what preserves the soft tonal steps that let you separate one grey elephant from the next. Planet-friendly, tab-sealed box, no shrink wrap.

Genuinely funny puzzles are rare. Most humour in this category is a pun on a label, and this is something else: a drawn joke that keeps going for a thousand pieces and rewards you for reading it. It is also the sort of finished picture people leave out on the table because visitors stop and look. Derived from multiple public data sources across retail, search and community platforms, refreshed 31 August 2026.
