Gibsons - Kinkade: Sunday Morning Chapel 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

A stone chapel with every window lit, at the hour just after dawn when the mist is still in the valley. Thomas Kinkade built an entire career on this one effect, light coming out of a building rather than falling on it, and this is a clean example of it.

What you are looking at

A green-roofed stone chapel with a clock tower and a cross, its leadlight windows glowing gold. What it is like to build

The lit windows are your anchors. They are the only pure saturated gold in an image that is otherwise pink, green and grey, so they are trivially easy to find and they fix the three buildings for you. Do them first, then the green roofs, then the clock tower.

The flowers are the long middle and there is a trick to them. Kinkade paints flowers as small dabs of pure colour with no drawing, so you cannot follow a shape. What you can follow is density: the beds get lighter and looser as they approach a path. Sort the flower pieces into mostly flower and flower with a bit of path or grass, and place the second pile first, because those pieces have a boundary in them. The sky is the last job, sorted by tone from pink at the top to cream at the horizon.
