Ravensburger - Disney All Aboard for Christmas 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

Essentially the entire Disney back catalogue standing on one railway platform, with a green steam engine in the middle wearing a wreath. If you are buying a Disney puzzle for somebody, this is the one with the most characters to find in it.

What you are looking at

A grand Victorian station under a glass and iron roof, decorated with garlands, balloons and two enormous gold bells. The locomotive faces you head on, holly wreath on the smokebox, steam rising into the roof. Platform 1 on the right, platform 2 on the left, and a station clock with Mickey's silhouette on the face.

Then the crowd. Mickey and Minnie in Santa outfits centre front with Donald, Daisy and Pluto. The princesses fill both sides: Rapunzel, Cinderella, Ariel and Eric, Aurora, Belle and the Beast, Jasmine, Snow White with all seven dwarfs on the right. Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore at the engine's front wheel. Tinker Bell and fairies overhead, Bambi and Toy Story figures bottom left, Marie the cat top right, and a decorated tree beside platform 1.

What it is like to build

Character puzzles are the friendliest kind of dense. Every figure is a self-contained block of two or three strong colours with a hard outline, so almost every piece carries usable information. Pick a character, finish them, and move on.

The locomotive is the anchor. It is the only large mass of black and it sits dead centre, so it fixes both halves of the image. Do it after the border, then the red platform edging that runs across the bottom, then work outward character by character. The station roof is the only genuinely hard region, pale glass and ironwork with a repeating pattern and no colour to grip, so leave it until the figures have closed in beneath it.

Why the Ravensburger cut matters here

Made in Germany since 1891, thick board, linen-textured low-glare laminate. No two pieces in a 1000 piece share a shape, and on the repeating glass roof that is exactly what stops you forcing a piece that is nearly right. Licensed Disney titles use the same board and cut as the rest of the range; the difference is the artwork, not the quality.

A little context

Disney ensemble puzzles get bought for two quite different reasons: as a Christmas puzzle, and as a Disney puzzle. That means they sell outside the season as well, which is unusual for anything with a wreath in it, and it is why they are worth stocking deeper than a pure Christmas title. Derived from multiple public data sources across retail, search and community platforms, refreshed 31 August 2026.
