What you are looking at

A gentle, sketchy treatment of the two characters rather than the hard-edged animation style: visible pencil texture, blushed cheeks, and a soft-focus wash behind. Two large hearts, one pink and one peach, sit above them, and loose four-petal flowers and small hearts drift across the background in pastel pink, blue, yellow and lilac. Ravensburger include a poster of the finished image in the box.

What it is like to build

There is no straight edge anywhere and that is the point. On a rectangular puzzle almost everyone starts by building the frame, which hands you a third of the structure for free. A circle takes that away. Every border piece is a shallow arc, they all look nearly the same, and you cannot tell a top piece from a bottom piece by shape.

So build from the middle out. The two characters are the highest-contrast area in the picture, so assemble them first as a solid island, then grow the pastel background outward from that island until it runs out of somewhere to go. The curved edge is the last thing you do, not the first. At 500 pieces it is a comfortable evening, but it will not be the evening you expected.
