What it is like to build

The house frame is your grid. The white walls, the loft floor, the ladder and the window mullions are the only straight lines and they cut the picture into compartments. Build them and every other piece belongs in one small room rather than anywhere.

Then the interior objects, which are all distinct. Green sofa, red Jeep, corgi, the patterned rug. The redwood trunks are the long job: several hundred pieces of vertical fibrous red-brown bark at the same scale. Sort them by how much light they carry, since the trunks nearest the sun flare are much warmer, and work outward from the flare.
