What it is like to build

Treat every toy as its own small puzzle. That is the whole strategy on a picture like this. Each object is a distinct colour and shape against the green shelving, so you can pick one off, finish it, and set it in place. It makes this unusually good to do in short sittings rather than one long push.

Do the white tree early. It is the largest single mass in the picture and the only white, so it separates instantly. Then the shop sign lettering, which is hard-edged red on grey. The snow at the bottom and the grey vertical boards of the shopfront are the two low information areas, and both go in near the end by shape.
