Which Wasgij is this

In a Destiny you build the same location at another time, working forward from the clues. In a Mystery you build what happens next. In an Original you build what a character can see. Three strands, three genuinely different puzzles, and people have firm preferences. The character on the side of the box is a large grey rat mascot in white gloves, mid-flourish.

What is on the box

A fairground packed corner to corner. A banner across the top left reading WELCOME TO HAVE A JOLLY NICE DAY OUT LAND. Front and centre, a teacup ride mid-spin with white and pink cups full of alarmed passengers, and a boating lake in front of it with pedal boats and a duck.

Behind, a carousel with a striped canopy and painted horses, a helter skelter, a swing ride with chairs out at full stretch, a roller coaster running along the top of the frame, a haunted-house facade marked DESTINY'S SPOOKY EVENTS, and a big top. On the left, a tea and cakes kiosk with a NO SMOKING sign and a queue, and a steam traction engine. Throughout: several more of the rat mascots in costume, a woman in a fur stole and pearls, children with balloons and ice creams, a man asleep in a deckchair, and a great many people about to regret the teacups.

What it is like to build

Sort by colour family and by line, because you have no reference for the solved picture. Skin tones, the green of the grass, the pale blue of the boating lake, and the strong block colours of the rides. Wasgij art is heavy black outline over flat fill, so any piece carrying a line is worth several that do not.

The teacups are your best structural feature, being large white circles with a repeating floral motif, sitting dead centre. Build the border, then the cups, then the striped canopies, which are the strongest repeating pattern in the upper half.
