$9.95 Flat Rate Shipping To All Metropolitan Areas (excl; WA,NT)
I bought 4 jigsaw puzzles in the EOFY sale, and have now completed them all. They were really good value, good quality, and fun to do. I will happily buy more next time I see them reduced in price like these ones were.
Looks good
One of the easiest puzzles, great for a rainy day
Am still to finish it off....has been more challenging than it looks...enjoy every puzzle..
Great puzzle and my family like that type.
Because it is a fun puzzle.
No landscape, no cottage, no cats. Just three words in enormous hand-drawn type on a midnight blue ground, and it is one of the best-looking things in the whole range. Twenty units on the shelf, which is the deepest stock we hold of anything.
WE'RE ALL MAD HERE, set in three lines of chunky hand-lettered capitals: mustard yellow, pale mint, and a burnt orange-red, each with an offset drop shadow. Behind them a deep navy field scattered with flat graphic shapes, a crescent moon, five-pointed stars, little clouds, rings, leaves and comma-shaped confetti in pink, teal and yellow. A trumpet in the top right corner firing three orange rays across the sky. A tan acoustic guitar bottom left. A pair of turquoise antlers behind the first line. Two halftone grids of small squares, top left and middle right, and a wide brush-textured swirl sweeping through the middle.
The line is the Cheshire Cat's, from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
This is a graphic design puzzle and it behaves nothing like a picture. There is no horizon, no perspective and no shading. Every element is a flat block of one colour with a hard edge, sitting on a single background tone.
The letters are the whole structure, so build them first. Each line is a different colour, so sorting is trivial: yellow pile, mint pile, orange pile. Assemble the three words as three separate objects, then join them. After that place the individually coloured shapes, the guitar, the trumpet, the antlers, each of which is unique in the frame.
Then comes the real work, and it is genuinely hard. A large share of this puzzle is plain navy with nothing on it at all. No gradient, no texture, no tonal variation to sort by. Those pieces go in purely by shape, working inward from the edge and outward from the letters until the two meet. Do not underestimate it because it looks simple. A flat colour field is one of the hardest things a puzzle can ask of you, and this one asks for a few hundred pieces of it.
Funbox is an Australian brand, and it is the name this shop was built on. They now produce in occasional limited runs rather than continuously, so what is on the shelf is what there is, and a title that sells out may be a long time coming back. The board is thick and the finished puzzle is 75 x 52 cm, noticeably larger than the German standard 70 x 50, so check your table before you start.
| Brand | Funbox, Australian |

| Finished size | 75 x 52 cm |
| Image type | Typographic, flat graphic design |
| Difficulty | Hard. Large field of flat single-colour background |
Typographic and graphic-design puzzles are a small corner of the category and they sell to a different person entirely: someone buying a thing to frame rather than a scene to visit. The finished piece is a poster, and it looks like one on a wall, which almost no landscape puzzle manages.
