The best quality jigsaw puzzles - at the best prices!
Hi Premium Puzzlers,
It has been a big week of unpacking. More than 100 new puzzles have landed on the shelves, across Ravensburger, Clementoni, Wasgij and two brands that are completely new to us. Say hello to Cloudberries and Stephen Wilkes.
Cloudberries is a British brand that treats a jigsaw like a piece of graphic design. The images are bold, modern and a little bit playful, think clean shapes, strong colour and clever patterns rather than the usual cottage or coastline. It is the kind of puzzle that looks as good on the table as it does finished.
The pieces back that up. They are unusually thick, cut so that no two are quite the same shape, and finished with a matte surface that kills glare, so you can actually see what you are doing under a lamp at night. Every title is 1000 pieces at $34.95, with designs like Geometry, Pixels and Flowers to start you off. Explore the Cloudberries range.
Stephen Wilkes is a renowned American photographer, and his Day to Night series is one of those ideas that sounds impossible until you see it. He fixes a camera on a single spot, a national park, a city square, a famous building, and shoots the same view for up to 30 hours without moving. Then he blends the best moments into one photograph that flows from bright daylight on one side to city lights and night sky on the other.
As a puzzle it is a joy, because the same scene changes completely as you work across it. Three have arrived, all around 1000 pieces at $34.95: Serengeti, Tanzania, Times Square, New York and the Flatiron Building, New York. Explore the Stephen Wilkes range.
And that is just the start. There are more than 100 new titles in stock right now, with fresh Ravensburger, a big run of Clementoni, and new Wasgij mysteries among them. Browse all the new arrivals.
Some of you will remember from my first note that I did my PhD studying how people make choices, and that I love to research things and share what I find. That is what The Puzzle Journal is, my ongoing library of pieces on puzzles, brands, design and the odd bit of data. I sometimes call it the Institute, because that is what it is quietly becoming. Visit the Puzzle Journal.
It would be so appreciated if you could take the time to share articles and links on the site that you find interesting. By sharing links to these articles you help me get the site discovered and grow my organic traffic, which in turn helps me buy more of the high quality puzzles that so many of you are enjoying.
I am 6 weeks into this new journey and I am loving every minute of it. It is like doing a puzzle, and I am loving putting the pieces into place. Please feel free to share thoughts and ideas on where you would like me to focus some further research. I have a treasure trove of data, nearly 6 years of more than 30,000 puzzle sales. Let's solve the puzzle together.
We are also on Facebook and Instagram, sharing new arrivals and a fun fact or two every week. Come and say hello on both.
