Aimee Stewart Puzzles

Aimee Stewart is a self-taught American digital artist whose densely detailed collage images have become some of the most recognisable artwork in the jigsaw category. In Australia you will nearly always meet her work through Ravensburger, at 500 to 2000 pieces.

Her images take three shapes, and they build very differently. The shelf paintings, such as Fantasy Bookshop and Myths and Legends, give you horizontal shelving to work along and are the friendliest place to start. The tabletop images look straight down at a crowded surface with no horizon and no grid, which makes them the slower, more demanding build. The room scenes, like A Pirate's Life, use perspective to sort themselves into floors, walls and ceilings.

She also hides a small fox somewhere in her recent images. It is not announced on the box, and once you know about it you will not be able to stop looking.
