300 pieces is the bridge between a childrens puzzle and an adult one. It takes an hour or two, it is genuinely satisfying rather than trivial, and it is the count where a lot of people rediscover that they like puzzling.

It is also where the extra-large-piece ranges live, sometimes labelled 300XL. Same finished size as a 500, bigger pieces, easier on the hands and eyes.
